Dale Sheldon Rokes was born in 1934 to Mary and Dale Rokes. As a young boy Dale experienced many sides of life. This is due to the fact that he moved from place-to-place. Although this may have given Dale experience and his sense of adventure it had its downfalls. Picking up and moving at the drop of a hat could be hard. At the very young age of seventeen Dale Sheldon Rokes picked up his things once again and joined the Marine Corps, but this time it was clearly Dale’s choice. As if this wasn’t enough he also joined Bertha, more familiarly known as Betty, in Holy Matrimony.

The new Mr. And Mrs. Rokes moved to North Carolina so they could be closer to the base where Dale would train at. Dale Rokes was based at Camp Ginger as well as Camp Lajune.

There he received the proper training he would need to stand with courage when face to face with enemies. That day would come all too soon for Dale’s young wife Betty. Dale Sheldon Rokes went to fight in the Korean War as one of America’s finest, while Betty held him closed to her heart and always remembered him in her prayers.

The battlegrounds were fierce and the whether was challenging as well. As the typhoons rolled in the troops rolled out. In hard times Dale Sheldon Rokes pushed through with the help of his loyal friends and the picture of his young wife’s face he stayed safe.

After returning home this driven young man decide to quit the Marine Corps and went to collage and then go to work as a police man. Dale and Betty Rokes were given a wonderful blessing on July twenty-sixth, 1960. This blessing was their first-born daughter, Kim Gabrielle Rokes. Two years later this family of three turned into a family of four. This change came by way of a baby called Dale Kevin Rokes on August seventh, 1962. Both children were raised in Catholic schools as well as in a very disciplined home. When Dale’s children went to High School he realized that what he was really doing in the police force was going to court everyday with the criminals other men caught. This is when he realized that he should go to Law School. Dale Sheldon Rokes was very smart as well as dedicated he was able to hold down a job with an insurance company while studying law. Dale was able to pass the bar the first time, and wasted absolutely no time at all helping clients. Dale Sheldon Rokes became a well-known lawyer in Orange County, and because of that he found himself in the middle of some very interesting cases.

In 1991 Dale and Bertha Rokes became grandparents for the first time. Then for a second and a third time in 1993. Their grandchildren are Meghan Rokes, Scoutt Jones, and Sarah Rokes. Life was good for a while as grandma and grandpa, or papa Rokes, made and shared memories with their grand children. Not long after the birth of his grand children’s Dale Rokes was diagnosed with cancer. This was a hard time for both Dale and his family, but with the help of friends and family Dale held on to the very end. Dale Sheldon Rokes died on August nineteenth, 1996 at the age of 62. Dale left a legacy behind him and impacted many people. Dale Rokes was truly one of America’s finest.
