The girls new they would have to fight the whole second half in order to win, and that they did.  They gave up a goal at the beginning of the second half.  They had to score a goal and soon.  Not much after the goal was given up Erin got a penalty kick.  This was the girl’s chance, and they took advantage of it.  Erin scored the goal and tied it up at one goal each.  The girls played their hardest the rest of the game, and they held the other team.  At the end of the second half the game was tied at one to one.  The team had to go into a double overtime.  At the end of the two five minute overtimes the game was still tied at one.  The girls had to go into a shoot out.  The five kickers chosen for the shoot out were Tina, Maria, Molly, Erin, and Emily.  Our goalie was Natalie.  She did an awesome job.  We ended up winning three to two after the shoot out.  Our two goals during the shoot out were scored by Maria and Emily.  The girls played their hearts out.  They wanted to win, and they did just that.  The girls were headed to the championship game.  They played their championship game at Hoban’s football stadium against St. Hilary’s.  They played their best.
