The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade softball team’s season is over, but they went through their season undefeated. They were coached by Mr. Brant. Katie B., one of the players from 7th grade, thinks they were very good. She thinks that Mr. Brant was a very good coach and he had many practices to help them to succeed and become a great team. They had a lot of team work, and that is how they won the championship. They went undefeated the whole season, and won the championship. Heather B. and Katie B. both think it was very fun to be part of the team, and learned a lot. Mr. Brant always wanted the girls to have fun no matter what. They all did have a lot of fun, but at the same time they learned a lot, and became a better team.

Their season took place during the summer. Sometimes, since it was the summer, it would be very hot, and hard to play! Since the whole team was so great, it didn’t matter how hot it was. They always tried our hardest! The first couple of games they were all pretty nervous. Once they started winning their games, they weren’t as nervous. They had a lot more confidence in themselves as a team. Most of the girls have been on that same team for four years. Mr. Brant knew all of the girls, and has been teaching them all of these years. He is so proud of the girls, and says they have gotten a lot better over the years together. The girls love the team, and would like to stay on the same team for years. Unfortunately, some of the girls will be in high school next year.

This was the eight graders last year and they pulled it off by winning the championship. All of the other girls will like to play softball next year, but are not sure yet who would be coaching. All of the girls will miss their team, but will probably play next year, and be just as good. If Mr. Brant does coach next year they will all be happy, but since his daughter, Heather, who was on the team, is leaving the school next year to go to high school, they do not know. If the girls do play next year, come and cheer them on!
