KA’s teacher is Mrs. Nowac and her assistant, Mrs. Valentine. There are, all together in KA, thirty students in the class. For the first week of school the students in the kindergarten class, like every other kindergarten class has, stay for only a half of a day. They certainly have grown a lot since then!

The students went to the Lakefarm Park in Kirtland, Ohio on May 18, 2005, as each kindergarten class does every year. The kindergarten learns many subjects such as math, science, religion, Spanish, computer, social studies, gym, music, journal writing, and reading.

The class room is covered with learning decorations such as the numbers that border the entire room that count up to the last day of school, meaning that they put a number up every day. The classroom is also bordered on one wall with the printed letters of the alphabet. There are also games like Candy Land, Tic TAC Toe, Connect Four, Marble Towers, Hi-Ho-Cherry-o, and Connect the Dots. They read books such as Dr. Seuss. They also have puzzles and coloring books. To learn certain things such as the colors, names, and letters they sing songs.

The kindergarten, every year, have sixth grade buddies. Together they do things that able them to learn things and have fun at the same time. The sixth graders help them with things, such as coloring, reading, and writing. They enjoy all these subjects and the teachers do too because they are helping the students learn not only the subject, but how to work with each other.

The kindergarten classes are taking part in a lot of school activities such as, on June 1, 2005 they will be having field day with the other kindergarten class, on June 3, 2005, in the morning, they are having a program for the end of the year, and then later that day they will be at the afternoon pep rally with the rest of the school, supported by the cheerleaders, that is celebrating the end of the year.

This is a picture of the kindergarten classroom taken in May 2005. You can see that there are many colorful decorations in the classroom that help the students learn.

This is a picture of some of the books the KA class reads such as David and Goliath, Dead as the Dodo, Counting at the Zoo, and Dr. Seuss.

This is a picture of a poster of Mary the mother of Jesus and shows, just by looking at it, how much the kindergarten loves God

and learning about him.

This is a picture of Mrs. Nowac and the students singing a song about animals and the animals colors even if the color isn’t necessarily the exact color of the animal.
