The fourth grade is a very charming class.  The fourth grade is located on the third floor of Immaculate Heart of Mary School.  They have two main teachers; Mrs. Dunmire and Mrs. Erdos.  Mrs. Erdos teaches the 4A class and Mrs. Dunmire teaches 4B.   The fourth grade is also planning and going on exciting and interactive field trips ranging from state parks to visiting zoos.  Most of the children in the fourth grade like every aspect of it because the fourth is such a mesmerizing class, but they realize that it is much more difficult than previous grades. The many field trips they are planning, in their opinion, are the best part of fourth grade at this time.

There are many subjects and specials that the fourth grade is going to learn about this year.  These subjects are: Math, English, Spelling, Reading, Religion, Science, and Social Studies.  The specials they attend are the same that every other class in Immaculate Heart of Mary learns, which are: Spanish, Art, Gym, Music, and Computer.  Mrs. Dunmire teaches Math, Social Studies, and Religion.  Mrs. Erdos teaches English, Science, and Spelling.  Both of the teachers instruct the reading class. The specials are taught by Miss Scheetz, Mrs. Depew, Mr. Hall, Mrs. Comeriato and Mrs. Wyzynski. The fourth graders are learning Ohio history in Social Studies.  They are learning note taking because it will prepare them a great deal for what they will encounter in the upper grades. In science class they are learning about animals and rainforests.  They are also learning as how to record their own voices in the computer class.  Nearly all of these children like every single one of their classes, but science is the most popular class in the fourth grade because of their teacher Mrs. Erdos, and also because of the amazing things they are learning in it right now and things they are about to learn.

Mrs. Dunmire is Anthony’s favorite teacher.  She is his favorite teacher because she is enthusiastic, pleasant to have around, very fun in class, polite, and is very comforting.  These two teachers set excellent examples for their students by lending their support in troubling times.  So far the students are in agreement; they all feel this is going to be an exciting year in which the fun has already begun.  The students have gone to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  These teachers are planning one more field trip for these students to the Cleveland Zoo.  The majority of the fourth graders have put the habitat project as their favorite project of the year so far.

These fourth graders have enjoyed the year so far and are hoping to enjoy the year some more.   They are learning about nature in science, history of  Ohio in Social Studies, and new vocabulary words. The fourth grade class will be here for four more years until they graduate from Immaculate Heart of Mary.  This makes them I.H.M.’s class of 2009.  They will dislike leaving these two teachers, but they will have to when they move further on to fifth grade.  This process will be both exhilarating and upsetting, but they will have to go through this process many times during their stay here at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  I.H.M. is very lucky to have such a marvelous fourth grade class now and for four more years to come.
