Kindergarten and first grade, two of the primary grades, find it essential to get outside during their learning

experience. The majority of kindergarteners, male and female, flee to the jungle gym to get the most out of their twenty minutes. First grade boys, however, find kickball a much more interesting way to rid themselves of their excess energy. But there always are small groups that like to set themselves apart from the crowd by lingering around the playground and hanging out with their friends. It is very easy to fit in here at IHM. In all, recess is a very important area for these kids to experience.
