Recess, when asked by many, is their favorite part of the day. It is an escape from the classroom where we can stretch our legs, play with our friends, and actually be happy about attending school. I had an opportunity to spend a day outside and observe the kids in their favorite recess activities. It was a very educating experience as I got to witness the progression from grade to grade. During my time outside I learned many new games and found how much being with your friends makes the day all the more enjoyable. Watching the children at recess was a huge blast from the past, and I think it was good for me to have that little refresher my eighth grade year. From playing on the playground, to playing in the field, recess is left to the preference of those who enjoy it.
