Mrs. Wyzynski is the physical education teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary Grade School.  She has been teaching physical education class at I.H.M. for 21 years.  She teaches kindergarten through seventh grade physical education classes every day of the school week.  Some of the sports she enjoys teaching are soccer, baseball, football, basketball, speedball, tennis, roller skating, tumbling, volleyball, golf, and bowling.

As of now, Mrs. Wyzynski is teaching kindergarten through seventh grade gym classes.  Kindergarten through fourth grade are practicing throwing skills.  Throwing skills are learning how to throw certain sports objects correctly.  Mrs. Y is teaching them how to throw tennis balls, footballs, playground balls, and Frisbees.  They are also learning how to throw them accurately.

The fifth and sixth graders are playing football.  In football, the object of the game, on offense, is to score a touchdown or a first down in three tries or less.  The object of the game on defense is to stop the offense from trying to score a touchdown. The fifth and six graders are broken up into teams, and their head coach makes plays for them to execute.  Each team has certain jobs that each person must participate in.  There is a head coach, an assistant coach, an equipment manager, a trainer, and a scorekeeper.

The seventh grade is playing speedball.  The object of speedball is to score a touchdown, goal, or field goal using the proper foot and throwing skills.  Some of the speedball foot skills are to lift up a rolling ball, and lift to a teammate.  Some of the throwing skills are throwing to your teammate and throwing to yourself.  Seventh grade will soon be moving on to golf.  Golf is a very difficult sport.  The game requires much practice if you want to succeed in it.  The object of golf is to hit a small, white golf ball into a hole using a golf club.  The person with the least amount of strokes wins.   Eighth grade has gym for one semester, but they get double the time of a regular gym class.

Many kids here at I.H.M love gym class very much.  Gym is not only a fun class, but it is also educational.  Plus, it gives the kids some time to run around and exercise instead of sitting for hours straight at a desk.  Mrs. Wyzynski is very energetic, and she makes gym class very fun and interesting.   Mrs. Wyzynski provides an excellent learning atmosphere for every single kid here at I.H.M for physical education class.
