The PAG is a working board under the direction of Mrs. Nagel and Mrs. DeWitt. Father McCann is their spiritual director and moderator.

The purpose of this organization shall bring into closer relationship the parents and teachers of Immaculate Heart of Mary School so that they may cooperate-operate intelligently in promoting the spiritual and the moral welfare of the children of the school.  The PAG shall engage in programs beneficial to parents and children in the hope that they may continue to live and strengthen Catholic family life.  It shall enter into projects and programs designed to promote the welfare of the children and youth in our school, homes and community.  These endeavors are subject to the approval of the Pastor and the Principal. 

 

 

                          Article III-Membership and Dues

Section 1of Article III states that teachers are full time members of Immaculate Heart of Mary School are considered paid-in-full members of this PAG.

Section 2 of Article III states that all parish members of Immaculate Heart of Mary are eligible to be members of this PAG.

Section 3 of Article III states that the optional dues of the PAG shall be collected annually per family.  Only paid family members are eligible to run for office.

During the 2003-2004 school year, the Parent Assistance Group has successfully run the Certificate program, they have continued saving and submitting the grocery store receipts for Tops, ACME and Giant Eagle, and they have collected Campbells labels and Box Tops.  The women in charge of these areas continually keep up on these tasks and redeem labels for cash or gifts to benefit the schoolchildren of I.H.M.  The certificate program is run as a courtesy to the parents of the day school children so that they may reduce the amount of their tuition.

The Parent Assistance Group meets on the first Monday of every month.

The PAG is a non-fundraising group.

 

The board and its members are responsible for the organizing of Grandparents Day, Enrichment, and the Santa Shop.

On a continuous basis they do things such as the School Certificate Program, Cambells Labels for Education, Tops tape saver, Giant Eagle Apples for Students, Acme Cash Back Program, Magazine Fundraiser, Market Day, Hospitality, the Auction, and there are also homeroom assistants for certain classrooms.
