Welcome to the
future of grading - Edline. Talk about
Edline has been buzzing throughout the school, and many of you are wondering
what it’s all about. Edline is a program
that allows teachers to input grades, assignments, and test schedules. It also lets the students, and their parents,
view their grades from home, work, school, or any computer that has an internet
connection. This allows students to be
aware of all of their grades, all of the time.
Edline is a
convenient, easy to use resource. Using
Edline, you can view a student report, which lists the student’s assignments
and the grades they received. It also
gives the student’s overall grade for the subject chosen. Ever forget to write down an assignment? Edline is perfect for forgotten
assignments. It provides you with a
homework/assignments page that has the student’s homework listed by all of
their teachers. Another great feature of
Edline is a calendar to keep you updated on school and church activities. Edline provides you with e-mail addresses for
all of the teachers, which allows the students or parents to contact teachers
easily. Also, Edline gives you links to
other websites, like the Diocese of
Cleveland Webpage and the Parent
Handbook.
If
you’re a beginner to Edline, don’t worry.
It provides simple instructions to set up your account. To get started, go to the Edline
Website link at the bottom of this page. You will need the activation code given to
you by the school, earlier in the year.
*First Click on Activate An Account at the top left
corner of the page.
*Next, simply follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
For those
people wondering what the students think about Edline, their comments are
mostly positive. “I like it, I think
it’s awesome,” says Michaela G., and Alex P. says, “I like it a lot because I
can see my grades whenever I want.” Although, some disagree, “I’d rather take
the tests home,” says Mary D. In my
opinion, Edline is a wonderful new addition to IHM’s technology.
