The 3^rd 4^{th and} 5th Grade girl’s basketball team has been playing since the beginning of December. The girls are very excited about playing. The 3^rd Grade and 4^th Grade girls basketball team both have two teams, an A team and a B team. That just means that there are so many people that they had to make two teams, it does not mean ones better than the other. There are 17 people total on the 5^th grade girls team, the 4^th grade girls team has 8 players, and 15 on the 3^rd grade girls team. There is one player that doesn’t go to our school that plays; she is not in the picture. I wish the girls good luck with the rest of the year and I hope that they do a great job. When the girls practice they do different drills like lay-ups, dribbling skills, and they work on there offence and defense. The 5^th grade girls are probably learning how to press 9 wich is guard the ball after the other team makes a basket.) When I talked to some of the girls they said that they love basketball and it is one of their favorite sports. Most of the girl’s games are on Saturdays and Sundays. When I talked to some of the girls they sounded really happy about playing and they said they really like their coaches. When I hear about them on the morning announcements they sound like they are doing very well. If there is anyone who loves basketball it’s the 3^rd 4^{th and} 5^th grade girls. I have seen the girls practice once and they look like they are doing very well. Keep up the good work girls your doing great!
