This web page is about
the seventh grade. I plan on informing
you about what they are doing in computer class and what they did on their
field trip. I hope that you find this web
page very informative and interesting.
In computer, taught by Mr. Hall, the seventh grade has just finished up
their color calendar exercise. While
doing this, they learned a number of things, such as how to spot
out colors that go together and how to make working links for a web
page. The seventh grade learned the
difference between complementary, harmonious, and analogous colors. They had to give two examples of each, they
had to merge cells, put the correct numbers in each day, and at least one
“event” for each week. Also, they
learned the basics of how to work with tables and make sure they could follow
the directions correctly. The seventh
grade is now currently working on a web page to put on the Immaculate Heart of
Mary home page.
They planed on going on a field trip to a weather center
and a space center in
down there. For the space center
they have all been assigned specific jobs to do. They pretended to go on a trip to the
moon. The jobs were: communication,
data, navigation, probe, remote, isolation, life support, and medical. Each one had specific things to do and many
were faced with problems that needed to be corrected. There are two different teams for each
class. They are mission control and
space crew craft. Each class went at
different times to the space center. The
seventh grade went May 10th. Since they
got back late, they had the next day off to relax. I am sure they were very disappointed to come
back home from their exciting field trip.
Next year this class will be eighth graders. I am sure they are excited to be the top of
the school. This is what the seventh
grade has been up to lately and what they did on their field trip.
